Full time positions offer medical, dental, and vision benefit options; as well as paid time off including holidays, vacation, and sick time. Position
Summary:
o Follows recipes and/or product directions to prepare items from scratch such as breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits etc.
o Measures and mixes baking ingredients using a variety of devices.
o Molds ingredients into loaves/shapes.
o Places products into correctly prepared pans.
o Regulates the drafts and temperatures of the ovens.
o Places items in ovens.
o Removes baked items from ovens and applies appropriate toppings.
o Follows all applicable food regulatory rules and procedures.
o May direct and coordinate activities of bakery personnel.
o May clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
Typical Knowledge and Skills:
Applies some advanced skills. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the requirements of the position. Primarily, focuses on own area of specialty. Ability to effectively communicate policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees.
Typical Requirements:
o Education or Equivalent
Experience: High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
o Supervisor/Managerial
Experience: None
o Function Specific
Experience: 1 - 3 years of related work experience.
o Certification Requirements: None
Supervision:
Supervision Received: Works under minimal supervision
Supervision Provided: May assist in orienting and training lower level employees.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an area that is adequately lighted and ventilated. Works in a kitchen environment.
Physical Demands: Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
