06A About This Role:
Human Capital Services is seeking applicants to fill a Human Capital Specialist I position within the Resources Center and Operations.
Policy Enforcement:
Ensures policy compliance regarding transactions submitted to Human Capital Services for entry into the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) in compliance while with Federal, State, and University policies and procedures.
Transaction Entry into HRIS/Review for Accuracy:
Data entry into HRIS after auditing and approving transactions submitted by department liaisons or budget officers.
Extension and Other Affiliated Employees:
Responsible for reviewing and updating personnel transactions for KSU Research & Extension, KSU Foundation and Alumni Association affiliated employees.
Back-Up Support to Receptionist in Human Capital Services:
Provide back-up support to departmental receptionist by answering incoming calls and greeting walk-in customers.
Uses best judgement in providing optimal customer service.
W-2 process for employees:
Works with the State of Kansas personnel to ensure timely arrival of W-2's during the months of February through Aprils and as requested throughout the year.
Coordinates the dissemination of paper W-2's that arrive in HCS for both US Citizens and non-resident employees.
