A day in the life of an Accounting Coordinator could be:
Mail Sort and distribute incoming mail according to general mail, correspondence and checks to prepare for processing or distribution.
Distribute correspondence as needed.
Date stamp incoming mail for date received.
Deposits Receive checks and enter into tracking spreadsheet to be deposited through the mail or in person, and batch/image into proper subledgers, including real estate, loans, investments, scholarship, internal operations, and department deposits.
Download images from lock box and post cash receipts into the accounting system and upload for approval.
Reporting and Credit Card Processing Print reports of online credit card transactions, enter deposit tickets, and give to colleague to cash report.
Process incoming credit cards.
Customer Service Provide clerical support to the accounting team, including cross training with other accounting staff, photocopying, and filing.
Exert exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, donors, clients, campus partners, and guests.
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience 2
years business office work experience Ability to operate basic office equipment such as photocopiers, personal computers and 10-key experience Confidentiality extremely important Must be available during regular business hours to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
