Caffey, Johnson & Ingels, PA is a litigation firm that represents parties in family and criminal law.
The Legal Assistant/Paralegal would have the following
Responsibilities:
case management, involving coordinating all aspects of a case and ensuring appropriate steps are taken in a timely fashion.
Calculating legal deadlines and filing documents as required.
Maintaining contact with other parties or counsel under the attorneys' supervision.
Drafting and analyzing legal documents including pleadings.
Drafting and signing legal correspondence.
Preparing for and assisting with hearings.
Preferred Requirements:
2-5 years as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal.
Must have strong organizational, communication and writing skills required.
Applicants will be given a typing test, grammar test and will need to provide a writing sample.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
