Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Advancement Services, the Prospect Manager is responsible for meeting with fundraisers to support campus-wide fundraising efforts through the initiation, promotion, coordination and management of an effective prospect management program and for providing input on donor assignment, cultivation and solicitation strategies to the Kansas State University Foundation's (KSU, KSUF, or University) leadership and the fundraisers. In addition, resulting from regular interactions and meetings with fundraisers, the prospect manager is responsible for updating and maintaining the integrity of the prospect records in the database.
Duties include, but are not limited to: direct communication with the fundraisers; coordinating and supporting fundraising strategies for constituents via fundraisers' portfolios; optimizing portfolio composition; maintenance of a campus-wide clearance policy that governs solicitations and approaches to prospects; maintaining the integrity of the centralized prospect management database that provides a record of highly confidential prospects contacts and clearance and manager assignments; producing a wide array of prospects and management reports and providing assistance and support with special projects and activities related to fundraising. The prospect manager is also responsible for utilizing a responsive, effective customer service plan supporting fundraisers and development units, as well as conducting training and outreachEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
