Join the Facilities Ground Maintenance team as a Landscape Technician I.
You will participate in planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, weed whipping, mowing, pulling and hoeing weeds, raking leaves, picking up trash and debris, cleaning sidewalks, mulching, and snow removal by operating various tools and equipment of the trade.
Perform plumbing and electrical duties to operate, maintain, repair, and install irrigation systems on campus grounds.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:
00 AM-3:
30 PM.

Knowledge of the general practices applied in the care and safe operation of a wide variety of light to medium maintenance equipmentKnowledge of standard safety practicesAbility to operate a wide variety of lighter and some heavy equipmentAbility to communicate, verbally and in writingKnowledge of grounds, tree, and shrub careSix months of experience in equipment operationSome positions may require attainment of a commercial driver's licenseBasic leadership skillsThis position is covered by the Kansas Association of Public Employees (KAPE) agreement.
